hero has a new part time job as a ranch hand. i think it's so romantic! especially since i get to pick all the grapes the owners grow (for free!!!). apparently they're too busy to harvest them! i cannot even fathom growing something and not caring about harvesting it. in any case, it's to my benefit!
i'm going to make some juice, jelly and...mayyybe might try making some wine. i'm not sure if i'm up for that experiment yet though! i want to get some of the leaves and make dolmas. grapevine wreaths and other decorations might be fun too!
I have a really easy way to can grapes for juice if you are interested, message me on fb or something.
ReplyDeletewow nice haul, that's awesome! i'm totally looking into making wine right now too! yesterday jason and i found three huge elderberry bushes and picked about 15lbs, so i'm doing syrup, jam, drying some, freezing some, and possibly making wine...i don't have the supplies yet though. have you ever made wine before? i'm taking a fermenting class through community ed next week, i hope they cover winemaking because i'm a little clueless.
